Boho Disco Chic Wedding at Firehouse Chicago

We absolutely love when couples really inject their personalities and vibes into their wedding day decor. That’s exactly what Alexa and Mike did for their big day. Alexa and Mike got married at Firehouse Chicago this past August, and they combined disco balls with neutral earth tone florals to create the most boho chic look.

We created Alexa’s bridal bouquet with seasonal elements like toffee roses, butterfly ranunculus, orchids, cappuccino roses, eucalyptus, carnations, and spray roses. Her bridesmaids carried similar but smaller bouquets. We thought the bridesmaids’ flowers looked awesome against the orange dresses of varying textures/fabrics.

Alexa and Mike went for an unconventional ceremony backdrop, and it looked SO good! We created a deconstructed asymmetrical arch featuring lots of pampas grass. It looked amazing within the lush garden area of Firehouse. Other decor elements we added for the ceremony were florals and greenery for the welcome sign, seating chart, and mom’s memory chair. It’s such a sweet and heartwarming touch when couples honor their passed loved ones in such a special way.

For reception decor, we repurposed the deconstructed ceremony arch and placed it behind the sweetheart table. We also repurposed Alexa’s bridal bouquet and displayed it on their sweetheart table, along with short and tall candles. To add some more boho fun, the couple added a bunch of varying disco balls tucked into the arch. The couple provided the cutest disco ball planters, which we used on the gift/memory table. We loved how they set up the guests’ dinner tables -long and family-style. We adorned these tables with low arrangements and various candles.

Congratulations to the Gilberts! May your future together be full of laughter and groovy disco balls!
