Romantic Fall Wedding Flowers at Ovation
Fall wedding season is hard to beat, and Kate and Tom's October celebration at Ovation reminded us exactly why. We're talking deep, moody purples, rich burgundy, lush greenery - the kind of color palette that just feels like cozy sweaters and golden hour wrapped into one gorgeous event. We went big with the blooms (no such thing as too many flowers, right?), and the result was this warm, dramatic, modern wedding that we are still thinking about. Huge thanks to the incredibly talented Kearney Ray Photo for capturing every single petal perfectly. Scroll down - you're going to want to see these pics!
Kate's bridal bouquet was dreamy- loose and natural with a slight cascade, filled with rich seasonal blooms including dahlias, ranunculus, lisianthus, and roses. Deep purples and moody burgundy spilled through every stem, and a dramatic trail of amaranthus cascaded down, giving it that romantic movement we love so much. The whole thing was finished in ivory satin ribbon for that perfect touch of softness against all that gorgeous color.
Her bridesmaids carried smaller versions of Kate's bouquet - same lush, natural feel, same ivory satin ribbon - and they looked absolutely stunning against their long olive green gowns. The varying dress styles gave each bridesmaid her own moment while still feeling completely cohesive as a group. That olive and deep purple combination? Chef's kiss.
For the guys, we kept things sleek and intentional. Tom and his attendants each wore a single dark purple ranunculus with just a touch of greenery. Simple, bold, and perfectly on palette. We loved how the dark ribbon tied everything together and gave the whole look a cool, understated edge.
Ovation's ceremony space was transformed with lush, organic details that set a romantic stage for Kate and Tom's vows. The altar featured a dramatic drape of hanging smilax cascading all the way to the floor on one side - that asymmetrical look felt modern yet completely natural, with blooms of deep purple and burgundy nestled throughout. Pillar candles clustered with greenery lined the aisle, giving the processional a warm, moody, candlelit glow. And of course, the flower girls carried their own sweet petite bouquets.
The reception at Ovation was just as lush as the ceremony. The bar was dressed with three medium floral arrangements in gold metal vases, and the gift and guestbook table got its own moment with a beautiful arrangement in a gold oblong vase - those little touches really do make a difference.
Dinner tables were styled with low gold vessels in various sizes, designed in that same loose, natural style that carried throughout the day, with clusters of gold votives tucked in to add warmth and glow. We love a good repurpose moment, too - the pillar candles and greenery from the ceremony aisle found a second life on the dinner tables, which is always a win.
The head table was a fuller, more abundant version of the guest tables, layered with compotes, bud vases, cups, and votives for that lush, collected feel. The ceremony altar backdrop framed Kate and Tom perfectly for the entire reception. We even got to add a few finishing blooms to their small cutting cake - the sweetest little final touch to round out the day.
Congratulations again, Tom and Kate! Thanks for letting us be part of your special day.
