Cheerful Spring Wedding at Firehouse Chicago

Adam and Sarai’s intimate spring wedding at Firehouse Chicago was the perfect blend of whimsy and coziness. Firehouse is one of our favorite venues for smaller gatherings—it’s a lovingly restored historic firehouse with a lush hidden garden, vintage details, and a warm, inviting atmosphere that feels like home. With a floral palette of soft pinks, corals, peaches, and pops of lilac, their celebration glowed with color and charm, making every corner of the space feel romantic and personal. We also got to do some fun and whimsical things with their florals - namely hanging stems from the ceiling in the dinner space! Keep scrolling to see. For Sarai’s bridal bouquet, we used flowers like coral peonies, lavender and blush roses, purple sweet pea, peach ranunculus, and more. We also created a boutonniere for the groom.

The bridesmaids wore long, light pink silky dresses as well as elegant, matching sheer shawls. Their outfit complemented their cheerful bouquets perfectly. We’re big fans of the light tan suits for the guys too!

Their ceremony was held outside in the backyard. It was a gorgeous day for it! We adorned their altar with a deconstructed arch featuring floral elements like peonies, roses, allium, eremerus, feather ferns, ranunculus, and other greenery.

Ok here is our favorite floral element of Adam and Sarai’s wedding!: We hung individual stems of their colorful florals from the ceiling. It made the space look so full of whimsy, we could barely stand it! The large, wooden tables were adorned with pink cloth napkins as well as low centerpieces with clusters of moss to bring the outside in.

The cherry blossom, “stained glass” table numbers were to die for! As we commonly do, we repurposed the wedding ceremony backdrop and placed it behind their sweetheart table.
